You don’t want to waste your time looking until you have thoroughly considered all the specifications and licensing requirements in your industry and for your business.
- Do you need to store products and materials?
- How will you receive products and materials? For example by 18 wheeler, UPS type truck, train, plane, etc..
- How do you plan on shipping products and materials?
- Do you need office space? If so how many offices do you need?
- What are the power requirements of your equipment?
- Do you need to store vehicles, trucks, or trailers over night?
- Do you have any special licensing or zoning requirements?
- Do you typically use racking when storing stuff in the warehouse?
- Do the products and materials you store need to remain at a certain temperature?
- Will you have employees working in the warehouse?
- Do you need the ability to drive a vehicle inside the warehouse?
- How wide of an overhead door do you need to get stuff in and out of the warehouse?
- Do you have to have air conditioning in the warehouse?
These are just a few questions to consider when leasing warehouse space. Again don’t waste your time searching for warehouse space for lease UNTIL you know what you need.
